Do you have a New Year’s resolution for a healthier 2017?

 

The silly season can take it’s toll on our diets. Sometimes it feels like all we’ve eaten is ham and turkey for a week straight. But a new year means a fresh start, and it’s time to put all of that talk of getting fit into action!

The good news is, there are plenty of ways to achieve your goal weight and toning, and you don’t even have to leave the house! Exercising outdoors can be daunting for the body conscious and time consuming for those that lead a busy lifestyle.

Here are a few turkey-belly busting exercises that – with the right equipment – you can do from the comforts of your own home!

 

Running

Burn those calories by running for at least 20 minutes every day! If you aren’t a strong runner, or have been spending a lot of time on the couch lately, make sure you take baby steps, increasing your time every week. If you find it hard to make time for exercise in your daily schedule, or don’t like to exercise outdoors, rent an electric treadmill from Macrae and we’ll deliver it to your door!

 

Cycling

Cycling is a great way to tone your thigh and leg muscles and get your blood pumping. It improves your joint mobility and can even reduce stress! Rent an exercise bike and make sure you have a decent workout every day. After all, trying to navigate traffic and pedestrians on a real bike can negatively affect your daily fitness achievements.

 

Rowing

You don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn to enjoy rowing. In fact, you don’t even need to be on the water! Tone your quads, calves and glutes with an easy-to-use rowing machine. These machines show results for anyone who carries a bit of extra pudge in their legs/lower body.

 

Cross Training
