What time are you open?

Our office is open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are also open Saturday by appointment.

How long can I rent a product for?

Macrae Rentals are the best at short-term rentals. Most products are advertised from 1 month, but if you need shorter we’ll rent almost anything from just 1 week! Just let us know what you are after, and we’ll take care of the rest. (Exceptions include computers, furniture and gym equipment – inquire now if you have any questions).

To secure yourself the lowest monthly rate available, choose to rent indefinitely. Then simply return it or upgrade it when you’re done. It couldn’t be easier.

Do I need to commit to a fixed term when renting a product?

Our rentals have no lock-in contracts because we understand that people’s situations change, as do their finances. If you cannot make a payment, just contact our friendly team and we will discuss your options.

Can I apply to rent a product if I am receiving a benefit?

Yes. We believe in giving everyone a fair go, so you can apply with MacRae Rentals even if you’re receiving benefits. All you need to do is pass our credit check to rent what you need.

What information do I need to provide to rent a product?

For short term rentals: Full name, phone number and photo ID.

For long term rentals: Full name, phone number, photo ID, proof of residence (in the form of a utilities bill, bank statement, lease agreement or mortgage statement. For those renting, please also include your landlord/rental agency contact details), proof of income (in the form of pay slips or welfare benefit statements from the last 90 days), employer contact details and the contact details of 3 personal referees.

My rental product has broken down, what do I do?

Just call 3356 3822 and we will service it or swap it all for FREE, usually within 24 hours of speaking with you.

What happens if I have insufficient funds to make a payment on my rental product, or need to change my payment day and date?

If there will be insufficient funds available on your rental product payment day, call us two days before your direct debit is due to make alternative payment arrangements. This will save you a dishonour fee from both MacRae Rentals and your bank. Please see your terms and conditions.

We are flexible, so you are able to change your payment day or dates to suit your situation. Just call us at least two days prior to your next payment due date to make any changes to your payment details.

Do I need to pick up my product or will it be delivered?

We deliver straight to your door! Our delivery is fast and trackable, so you can be assured your products will be secure.

Where do you deliver to and how much is it?

We deliver to all suburbs of Brisbane including Redcliffe, Logan, Redland Bay, Ipswich, Pine Rivers and Caboolture as well as Toowoomba, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. For delivery within the Brisbane area it is $25. For delivery to Toowoomba, the Gold Coast or Sunshine coast, it is $50.

Does your delivery include installation?

Our delivery drivers are in the know-how and are more than happy to install your product and give you full training on how to use it.

Do you offer student and seniors discounts?

Yes, free delivery for students and seniors upon presentation of relevant ID.

If I want to hire more than one product, is it possible to get a package deal?

We offer numerous package deals for different situations. Our popular ‘moving out of home’ package includes furniture and appliances; everything you need to set up your new house! If you want to discuss other package deals simply give us a call and we will see what we can arrange for you.

I want to add something to my account, what do I do?

Simply find the product on our website, and click on the ‘enquire about this product’ button. Mention in the ‘your message’ section that you are already an existing customer and we will find you in our database. Alternatively, give our friendly team a call and we will arrange to add this product onto your regular payments.

Can I change or upgrade my product?

Certainly! Call us on 3356 3822 about what you need. We can upgrade and add to your rentals any time.

Do I need to protect my rental items against fire and theft?

Yes, we recommend that you update your home and contents insurance to include rental items. When renting with Macrae, you accept the responsibility for the products you have rented, should they be stolen or damaged.

Can I buy my rental goods?

When renting with us, there is no obligation or right to buy your goods at the end of your rental. However, you can inquire with us anytime about buying your rented products. Contact us in store for more details.

What if I have a friend that’s interested in renting from MacRae Rentals?

That’s great! You can receive $50 for each successful referral, just ring the office on 3356 3822 for terms and conditions.
